Cultivating Collaboration in Guam
In late August, WRDC traveled across the International Date Line to connect with our land-grant partner, Unibetsedåt Guåhan | University of Guam (UOG). The visit provided an opportunity to meet with UOG College of Natural & Applied Science faculty and staff and tour research and Extension facilities to gain a deeper understanding of the university’s work and impact across Guam. The UOG Land Grant Extension Service Community Development team also facilitated meetings with the Guam Economic Development Authority, Guam Visitors Bureau, and Guam Department of Agriculture, offering valuable perspectives on the island’s communities, priorities, and opportunities. We look forward to continued engagement and exploring ways the WRDC can support and partner with UOG and other organizations advancing rural and community development throughout Guam and the Pacific Basin.
